Although you will board the ferry in Wakai, your ticket is issued from Ampana. This is the only way to guarantee a VIP bed, as VIP cabins are allocated when tickets are sold in Ampana.
We highly recommend this option, especially during weekends, public holidays, and the high season.
Option 2 – Buy an Economy Ticket in Wakai
You can purchase the only available ticket in wakai which is economy ticket and, if VIP beds are still available after boarding, you may be able to upgrade to a VIP bed.
However, this upgrade is not guaranteed. In most cases—especially during the holiday season—the VIP beds have already been sold in Ampana before the ferry reaches Wakai.

To avoid disappointment and ensure a comfortable overnight journey, we strongly recommend booking the VIP ticket from Ampana to Gorontalo in advance. Even though you board in Wakai, this is the best way to secure your VIP bed.
