Great services in a neat little homestay

Large clean rooms, good value for the price Good breakfast came with the room. Good location only 10 minutes walk from business district and historic part of Gorontalo . The main attraction is that Harry is a wealth of information on the area and has set up several ubique tours of Gorontalo. I took rwo with Fajar, the in-house guide. I recommend them both. You can go swimming with whale sharks just 10 kilometers south of town. Sharks are only 20 meters off shore and are free to go whenever they choose. Local fisjers give them a bit of food to keep them close enough to photograph, but there is a turnover of individuals every day. The sharks are still part of the ecosystem, and .move on after a snack, it seems sustainable. Fajar also arranged a day trip in Warta one National Park to visit a hat hery protecting the eggs of the malleeo. A rare bird that buries its eggs near a heat source, in this case, a hotspring. To reduce predation, local farmers are hired as ea gerx to dig up the eggs and protect them until the chicken hatch. It’s fascinating but a long hike. Harry also facilitates travel arrangements and visa extensions. It’s very easy to do in Gorontalo.

I liked everything about the homestay. Mimin was away while I was there.

Amazing stay in Gorontalo

Our stay was absolutely amazing here thanks to the fantastic staff. We arrived in Gorontalo early from Manado and they allowed us a room to rest, also on the day of getting the ferry to Togean we could keep our room until we departed. Throughout the whole stay everyone was so kind and helpful; Mimin and the girls literally took us onto the ferry to Togean and the whale shark trip was amazing and our guide who works with the Honestay was very knowledgeable and funny. They cooked us a Christmas Eve dinner which was also so lovely and kind. Facilities have everything you need; showers, water, coffee, tea, etc. you can hire a bike or take local taxis which are everywhere and inexpensive. I would definitely recommend staying here, thank you!!! 🩷
